HAE NOW: Humans Animals and Environment NOW ! Since 2004, HAE NOW has been committed to ethics and social responsibility, to human rights, and to preventing environmental degradation and animal exploitation. HAE Now grows and processes 100% organic cotton: a safe and sustainable practice. It is grown with natural fertilizers and as such is free from harmful toxins, providing a 100% environmentally friendly product. HAE NOW sources their cotton from the Chetna organic farm project in central india. All their farms and mills are Fair Trade Certified. By assisting struggling farmers to climb out of debt and poverty, they pave the way for a dignified livelihood. Profits are them reinvested in local community development.
Woman empowerment is a key priority in everything HAE NOW does, and the project has created job opportunities for women at all levels, which allows them a livelihood and equal standing in the community.
Organic and fair trade premiums are invested in community projects that assist struggling communities and better livelihoods. Examples of this community development includes providing safe drinking water, building composting huts and funding micro-loans to women. They also have special education programs provide schooling for rural children and women.
